Guide
Welcome to the official manual for Rendergeist Studio. This platform is a professional, local-first AI cinematography suite designed to give you absolute control over your AI-generated narratives, consistent character casting, and stylistic generation.
Local-First Architecture
Rendergeist Studio runs entirely within your browser using IndexedDB. This means zero cloud storage fees, zero unexpected data syncs, and maximum privacy. When you generate an image or video using your provided API keys, the raw media blob is downloaded and permanently stored directly on your computer's hard drive within the browser cache. Because of this, your work is blisteringly fast and instantly available offline.
Core Modules
Projects
The heart of your production pipeline. Here you construct your video timelines, ingest audio tracks to generate duration-accurate shot lists, and orchestrate complex prompt sequences. By combining Characters and Styles into a Project, you maintain absolute continuity from scene to scene.
Characters
A persistent database of your actors. To prevent AI hallucination and shifting faces between shots, the Characters module allows you to define rigid physical traits, specific wardrobe instructions, and upload reference imagery. You "cast" these characters into your Projects to guarantee visual consistency.
Styles
Your aesthetic command center. Define the lighting, film stock, artistic medium, and specific camera lenses you want your generated media to emulate. These presets act as a global wrapper around your scene prompts, ensuring your entire timeline shares a unified cinematic grade.
Assets
The central repository for every raw MP4 video and JPG image the engine generates. You can bulk-download your final renders, audit the physical storage footprint of your local database, and permanently delete orphaned media to free up quota on your machine.
Security & API Keys
Rendergeist Studio operates as a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) interface. In the Settings panel, you input your secure credentials (like the xAI API key) which are saved exclusively in your local browser's storage. Your keys are never transmitted to our servers—they are only used locally to make direct HTTP requests to the respective AI generation endpoints.
